About the maps:
Find out how to get where you want to go! With your help we’ll achieve more accessible spaces.
In the Ararteko’s collaborative maps on accessibility you will find information about tourist spots, transport, libraries... Let us know about their accessibility! All of the information is open and reusable. Use it!
Mapas de Ararteko is a project of participatory or collaborative mapping by citizens associations, the public administrations and the Ararteko, designed to help us find information of social interest and propose alternatives on an online map.
We will start with mapping to search for accessible tourist spots, transport and libraries. Once you have found the place you want to go, you can see what other interesting places are nearby. Information on their accessibility will appear as icons that identify a type of functional diversity and the degree of accessibility. The icons used are taken from the Basque Government model of tourist accessibility.
Comment on it! Information on accessibility is enormously important for everyone; so if you’d like to make a remark, don’t think twice, add it using the space for comments you would like to make about each point or place located.
If you would like to add new points or places you can’t find on the map, contact Mapas de Ararteko at: firstname.lastname@example.org
All of the data used are liberated and can be downloaded here.
